The Gillard Government has today secured a clean energy future for all Australians.

For the first time, Australia’s biggest polluters will have to pay for every tonne of carbon pollution they emit.

Wow, big deal Gillard Government, you actually did something you said you would not do, then claim doing something you said you would not do, to your credit?

What about all the things you said you would actually do and and have not done?????

Anyone who voted for this person and parties (Greens included) based on the claim that on August 17, 2010 Julia Gillard said that there will be no tax on carbon while she leads the federal government must really feel ripped off?

Could it be ok though and only business is going to be taxed?

But what about where most people buy food, transport and goods and services.

Government? No.

Oh no! We buy from carbon taxed businesses.

So a business outlays capital, exposes the outlayed capital to risk, incurs yet another new tax in addition to Company Tax, GST, Payroll Tax, duties, Superannuation, PAYE instalments, Workers Compensation, Public Liability and many other costs such as rent, interest, transport, and infrastucture costs such as rates, rent, supplies ect and decides to absorb the cost of another new tax so consumers wont be impacted? = NO

Anyone who votes for any of these guys, or the greens, in the future will no doubt continue to be ripped off!

Copied from the Sydney Morning Herald for you your convenience;

"Julia Gillard has said there will be no tax on carbon while she leads the federal government.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Wayne Swan, said last week that if Labor won the election there would be no carbon tax during its three-year term.

Ms Gillard seemed to go a step further yesterday. ''There will be no carbon tax under the government I lead,'' she told Network Ten. ''What we will do is we will tackle the challenge of climate change.''

The Prime Minister boasted that Labor had invested ''record amounts'' in solar and renewable technologies.

''Now I want to build the transmission lines that will bring that clean, green energy into the national electricity grid,'' she said."

Ineptocracy

The Opposition leader issued a statement from London blasting passage of the “toxic tax'' which was “based on a lie from a Prime Minister who promised six days before the last election there will be no carbon tax under the Government I lead''.

Green tax will hurt fragile economy

"WHEN science becomes a religion, you get the carbon tax that was just forced into law against the wishes of the majority of the population this week.

It makes no sense, except as a blind act of faith.

It will do precisely nothing to change the climate, while hurting a fragile economy in the middle of a global downturn.

Judging by the Government's previous inept performance, the scams and waste will make the pink batts fiasco look like a picnic."

Meanwhile, the climate isn't playing by the rules. As eminent retired Australian meteorologist William Kininmonth points out, global warming has stalled, despite rising levels of carbon dioxide over the past decade.

To the future, government just passed another tax which you will pay from your earnings, to government.
